Further notes and instructions:

  1. The spray-coated White, Pink, Butter Yellow, and Red cases contain glitter.
  2. Per-key RGB lighting significantly increases power consumption, substantially reducing the keyboard's battery life in wireless modes. If you're not a big fan of per-key RGB, we strongly recommend choosing the non-RGB PCB for better battery performance.
  3. To improve the consistency of typing feedback, we've increased the leaf springs' stiffness on the QK80 MK2. Consequently, its typing feel is not as soft as our other keyboard utilizing the same structure, such as the Vento or Jelly Evolv. We recommend checking review videos before purchasing to set realistic expectations for its typing performance.
  4. Please turn on the battery toggle (located underneath the Caps Lock keycap) first if you want to use the screen and dot-matrix LED. They will not work with the battery toggle turned off, even if you have plugged in a cable.
  5. All units purchased from this sale page come with two 4000 mAh batteries.
  6. To modify your QK80 MK2 specifications, please don't adjust quantities in the shopping cart. Instead, return to the product page and add the new option to your shopping cart again.
  7. All PCBs utilize QK's custom VIA web configurator for keymapping and screen customization, as the original VIA software doesn't support advanced screen functions
  8. Please do not add anything other than QK80 MK2 extra parts to the cart along with this keyboard. Otherwise, you will be prevented from checking out.
  9. Incomplete orders (those lacking a plate, PCB, or other essential keyboard components) will be canceled. Buyers will be responsible for any resulting fees and transaction costs.

Solid board without breaking the bank

Aside from the obvious eye catching features, I really enjoyed the typing experience on this board. I predominantly use fr4 plates. I wasn't a big fan of the flex cuts on the fr4 plate but nonetheless, there's very little to complain about since the flex cuts wasn't too overwhelming.

Assembling the board itself wasn't that complicated. The build guide is pretty straightforward. However, I would be very careful on the leaf springs as they can be shifted easily and prevent the top case to close. No biggie, just something to that could happen to someone who wasn't paying attention like I did.

The plate foam seemed to expand beyond the PCB, don't be alarmed by it. I personally do not care about this since to me it just means extra protection around the case but there were times where I had to shove the foam away from the leaf springs since it made it harder for me to close / open the board. Once again, no biggie, just something I noticed.

Overall, it was absolutely worth the money. Order was shipped a week after it was ordered and it arrived 3 days sooner than what DHL forecasted. This is my first QK and certainly won't be my last.

Classy and eye catching

This keyboard design is an absolute eye-catcher! The layout is thoughtfully designed with a modern and futuristic look, especially the top case's ice cold smooth anodized finish with one of the functional and playful screen I have seen on a keyboard. To add icing to the cake, there is a dot matrix which lightly up and customizable as well. Thereby it feels tailored for both functionality and style.

Overall, this keyboard is a beautiful blend of premium materials, smart engineering, and elegant design. Perfect for those who appreciate simplicity and high-quality builds.

This is punching waaaaaay above its price point. The level of detail is amazing and quality is higher than most boards that are 3x the price.

My favorite board by far

I really love it, looks sleek on the desk, sounds incredible with just about any switch I tried on it, the typing experience is fantastic thanks to the leaf spring mount, the screen is super high quality and looks amazing and the matrix module is also super fun to create custom animations to pair nicely with the gifs you put on the board or just as a nice typing display.

I have only 2 points of criticism.
I feel like the slogan on the back of the board is out of place and takes away from the aesthetic of the board, easy to ignore because it's on the back but still.
And number 2 is more of a personal preference thing but the FR4 plate has way too many cuts which doesn't pair nicely with the non flexcut pcb and I'm pretty sure impacts the sound negatively.

Even with these two points, I still think this board is a 5/5, just incredible.
