Pretty easy to build, lots of customizability - I love this thing. Definitely opened the flood gates for me really enjoying this as a hobby, could totally see myself ordering from QK again!
Especially for the price range I loved the options, and the quality of the case is superb. I built mine with all the included foam, a POM plate and mounted it using the gaskets. I loaded up Gateron Silver Pro V3s with some PBT keycaps and TX AP stabs. it has a nice subtle sound and has a slightly bouncy feel. just about what i was shooting for.
My only con, and I know it's less popular in the custom build world, but I do wish there was a backlit option.
I knew that going in and passed on other LED options because otherwise this nailed all the specs I was looking for and a price that was within my budget.
I’ve only had it a couple weeks and a couple different configurations and I am finding great joy in them all. Neo is doing some great things with their boards and this is a just a solid choice for a daily driver. Clean, sharp sound with my build just like I wanted.
I've been wanting a new keyboard, and I settled on the Neo65. This is my 2nd keyboard, and the first one I built. Because it was my first build, I made mistakes, however, it really wasn't difficult, even for a beginner. After using the keyboard for just one day, I already love how it sounds and feels. It's so much better than my other keyboard. I'm so happy with it!
I own several 75% keyboards and this was my first ever keyboard kit and 65%. Despite this keeb being cheaper than most of my 75% prebuilts, this has been my favorite keyboard both sound, quality and aesthetic-wise. I got the wired yellow and even though it doesn't match my setup, it's extremely difficult to go back to any of my other keyboards just because of how much better this one feels.
Unfortunately the picture has cheap keycaps, but I'll be purchasing better ones. It's supposed to be a pompompurin themed build.
I own several Neo65s, and I can say I am in love with the design and functionality.
I hope you release a Neo60 next, I’d love to see a 64 keys version.
Hi there, thank you so much for your feedback! We're so glad to hear that you're enjoying the Neo65. And guess what? The next product from Neo is indeed the Neo60! (≧∇≦)ノ
Keep in mind I haven't tried any of the super premium $300+ 65%s out there yet, but this provides amazing acoustics and feel at a fraction of the cost. I'm running it foamless and it is so full and nice sounding. Also comes with an extensive foam kit if that's your thing. The gasket config is super soft, alu plate + no flex cut PCB and you can visually see it bounce without applying too much pressure. Beautiful weight on the back too. Neo stabs were a little weird to put in but I'll chalk that up to a skill issue since it was actually my first time using clip-ins. I'm more confident with ****-ins oddly but that's besides the point of the review. Love my new keyboard.
I'm pretty new to the keyboard scene, and heard this was a good custom to start with due to the price and quality. And I'm happy to say the build was simple and I couldn't be happier with the quality! The weight of the case just feels so nice and it kinda feels like both a functional and aesthetic part of my desk now. Definitely pleased with this product.
a lil annyoing to build at times but really awsome and i love it
