Keep in mind I haven't tried any of the super premium $300+ 65%s out there yet, but this provides amazing acoustics and feel at a fraction of the cost. I'm running it foamless and it is so full and nice sounding. Also comes with an extensive foam kit if that's your thing. The gasket config is super soft, alu plate + no flex cut PCB and you can visually see it bounce without applying too much pressure. Beautiful weight on the back too. Neo stabs were a little weird to put in but I'll chalk that up to a skill issue since it was actually my first time using clip-ins. I'm more confident with ****-ins oddly but that's besides the point of the review. Love my new keyboard.
I'm pretty new to the keyboard scene, and heard this was a good custom to start with due to the price and quality. And I'm happy to say the build was simple and I couldn't be happier with the quality! The weight of the case just feels so nice and it kinda feels like both a functional and aesthetic part of my desk now. Definitely pleased with this product.
a lil annyoing to build at times but really awsome and i love it
Built mine with a CF plate and HMX sunset gleams. Amazing sound and feel for such a budget keyboard. It has become one of my favorites in my collection.
I have 2 neo65's. One in black the other in white. Both are gasket mounted and love the soft and bouncy typing feel. Assembly is very easy and no issues on either order.
Been a month since I built my dad his first custom. The Neo65 has been above and beyond mine and his expectations, Hes really loving the compactness(coming from a TKL) and design of the board. very simple and elegant, I was initially worried about the wireless/battery performance however hes had no issues at all with the 2.4ghz and Bluetooth modes, The board hasnt been charged once since we got it and its still on 70% from a months of usage, and from the few times I've stolen the board from him I didn't really notice a difference between wired and wireless performance.
The best part about the board was the price 🙂 I didn't manage to catch the 11% sale however even without that sale I believe the board is priced really fairly for anyone trying get a solid high quality keyboard, I would love to see future boards around the same price point. I think it would also be nice if in the next iteration of this product there was an option for a spray coated/ anodized weight to shave off a few extra dollars
The carrying case was also a really nice touch alongside the stabilizers (even though I did not use them)
One of the only "con" I've found with the board is the fact that it's really prone to fingerprints however its a minor issue.
Looking forward to getting **my** Neo80 soon after my experience with the Neo65.
