Important Update: Changes to U.S. Shipping
Posted on
TL;DR: Shipping cost to the U.S. has gone up and U.S. customers are responsible for possible 20% tariff and customs clearance fee. Situations may change daily and we will update this post accordingly. Please consider your purchase thoroughly before ordering.
Dear U.S. Customers,
As you may already know, the duty-free de minimis treatment is ending for covered goods from the People's Republic of China (PRC) and Hong Kong SAR, effective May 2, 2025, at 12:01 a.m. EDT. This policy change will increase shipping fees across all methods due to higher customs clearance and handling fees. For example, our primary shipping partner, DHL, has announced they will begin charging a minimum $17 handling fee plus 20% of the declared value as import duty from May 2nd.
After reviewing multiple carriers, we've selected several relatively cost-effective options, though air shipping charges will still increase by an average of $6 per kilogram for keyboard orders. Sea freight remains the same. Additionally, customers will be responsible for all applicable duties and taxes. The current keyboard tariff rate is 20%, though this rate may change until the situation stabilizes.
Considering our typical fulfillment timeline, we will implement new shipping fees **starting April 16th EOD**. We’ll try our best to ship all existing orders before May 2nd to minimize extra fees for our customers.
Thank you for your continued support during these challenging times. We hope the situation will improve soon.
